Cellular Jail National Memorial
The Cellular Jail stands as a haunting reminder of India's colonial history, bearing witness to the immense suffering endured by freedom fighters. Known as 'Kala Pani,' this jail is infamous for the brutal punishments inflicted upon its inmates. On February 11, 1979, it was designated a national memorial by then-Prime Minister Morarji Desai.
